Rnd 8-15: sc in all 42 st [42]
Rnd 16: (sc in next 5 st, dec) repeat 6 times [36]
Fasten off and hide the yarn tail.
If you use safety eyes, insert them between Rnd 9 and Rnd 10 (5 st in between them).
Back part:
Rnd 1: 6 sc in a magic ring [6]
Rnd 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
Rnd 3: (sc in next st, inc) repeat 6 times [18]
Rnd 4: (sc in next 2 st, inc) repeat 6 times [24]

Rnd 15: (sc in next 5 st, dec) repeat 6 times [36]
Don’t fasten off.
Now we’re going to join the head with back part.
Crochet sc in next 6 stitches through both parts, thus joining them together. Continue crocheting in rounds on both parts excluding those 6 stitches you have just made.
Rnd 16-18: sc in all 60 st [60]
Rnd 19: (sc in the next 10 st, dec) repeat 5 times [55]

Rnd 24: (sc in next 6 st, dec) repeat 5 times [35]
Rnd 25: (sc in next 5 st, dec) repeat 5 times [30]
Rnd 26: (sc in next 13 st, dec) repeat 2 times [28]
Rnd 27: (sc in next 12 st, dec) repeat 2 times [26]
Stuff the heart with fiberfill.
Rnd 28: (sc in next 11 st, dec) repeat 2 times [24]
Rnd 29: (sc in next 10 st, dec) repeat 2 times [22]
Rnd 30: (sc in next 9 st, dec) repeat 2 times [20]
Rnd 31: crochet sc in each st till the place where you want to make paw pads, then crochet (bo in next st, 1 ch, sl st in next st, sc in next st) x 3 times (3 paw pads) [23]
How to crochet bobble stitch: work 4 dc all into the same stitch, leaving the last loop unworked on the hook each time. When you have 5 loops on the hook, yarn over and pull trough all 5 loops.
Rnd 32: sc in all 23 st [23]
Stuff with fiberfill.
If you want the cat to stand on it own, insert a coin or plastic circle in the bottom. Continue crocheting the footing.
Rnd 33: (sc in next 2 st, dec) repeat 5 times, sc in next st, dec [18]
Rnd 34: (sc in next st, dec) repeat 6 times [12]
Rnd 35: (dec) 6 times [6]
Fasten off leaving a small tail. Weave in the yarn tail in front loops of the rest 6 stitches, then pull to close the hole. Hide the end.
If you find it hard to crochet with the coin put inside, you can crochet the footing circle separately, then sew it on using a needle.
Tail:
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Rnd 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
Rnd 3: (sc in next 2 st, inc) repeat 4 times [16]
Rnd 4-8: sc in all 16 st [16]
Stuff slightly only the tip of the tail.
Rnd 9: (sc in next 6 st, dec) repeat 2 times [14]
Rnd 10-11: sc in all 14 st [14]
Rnd 12: (sc in next 5 st, dec) repeat 2 times [12]
Rnd 13-15: sc in all 12 st [12]
Rnd 16: (sc in next 4 st, dec) repeat 2 times [10]
Rnd 17-30: sc in all 10 st [10]
Finish with sl st. Fasten off leaving a tail for sewing.
Ears (make 2):
Rnd 1: 4 sc in magic ring [4]
Rnd 2: (inc) repeat 4 times [8]
Rnd 3: (sc in next 3 st, inc) repeat 2 times [10]
Rnd 4: (sc in next 4 st, inc) repeat 2 times [12]
Rnd 5: (sc in next 5 st, inc) repeat 2 times [14]

Thank you so much for this pattern. I made it in 4 play and it came out adorable. I’m giving it to my 6 year old granddaughter for Valentine’s Day. I left the wire out just in case she wants to sleep with it.
I really appreciate this being a free pattern but your page can’t be copied and pasted. Why? Just curious. My daughter in law is going to love this! Thanks
Tarif için teşekkür ederim güzel anlatımıyla çok kolay örebildim tarifinizi instagram sayfamda paylaşabilir miyim tekrar teşekkür ederim
Hi Semra 🙂 No, this is forbidden.
Hola buenas tardes me encanta tejer y me gustaría estar al día con patrones di ustedes me lo permiten gracias
It’s supposed to be worked in rounds but started on the head at row 4 it all went wild. There wasn’t enough stitches in the row to complete all the steps. I tried following it through and ended up with the right stitches but it would end randomly in the next row. It almost matched up on row 6 but the extra sc 5 put it 5 past the start of the next row. Granted got it made just be aware of the rows.
Sounds like you made the same mistake I did. I read “sc in the next 3 sc, (inc), repeat 2 times” to mean 3 sc, (inc), 3 sc, (inc). It actually means 3 sc, (inc), (inc). When you apply that to the rest of the row it all fits.
I ENJOZ LOOKING AND I WILL TRY FEW OF THEM FOR CHRISMASS.
