Round and round we go. Clicking links to the free pattern that takes me to the pay site. Print the pattern leads to a log in for the downloadable pattern that isn’t there. A you tube video link that takes me to a video for a milk cup with the caption that watching it will help show the teacup pin cushion???? Gee this has been fun… NOT!!!
Hi Guys!
Do you crochet the tea cup part in continuous rounds (spiral) or in closed rounds?
Hi:) in continuous rounds
Hi, I didn’t see where you to put the card board or how to do the mouth and eyelashes. I’m a beginner so I need help with everything lol
I’m just going to wing it putting it together since there is no instructions on doing that.
Bonjour, pour les rangs de 12 à 25, on prend toute la maille ou seulement le brin avant comme pour le rang 11 ?
Merci pour ce modèle et les explications claires.
Bon amigurimi

Hello,
I just got the pattern, however, you do not say what type (size, weight) of yarn to use, just the amount. I haven’t crocheted in a while is this difficult?
Hi, if I don’t want to turn the project inside out can I do round 11 of main cup in BLO? Apart from that I am loving this pattern!
Thank you!
Hi Hannah, you need to turn it inside out 🙂
This is so cute, but where are the instructions to put it together?
Hello! Sorry for bothering you. But, you have to turn the tea cup inside out? It looks like it in the photos. I just want to know that you can do it because it didn’t explain in the pattern.
Hi 🙂 Yes, you have to turn the tea cup inside out
Bonjour
La tasse est trop mignonne!
Est il possible de vous en acheter une crocheter?
Je ne suis pas habituée au crochet.
Je vous remercie
Cordialement
Martine
Hiii
At first YOU ARE THE BEST. Cause I am really in love with all of your patterns.
Second, I have a question. I ‘m confused with the teabag part. I tried but it didn’t become like yours at all. Can you explain it again, more clearly?
Thank you
Hi! So do u put fiberfill in the main part of the cup too before crocheting on the top of the tea?! And in the other comments I read card board on the bottom so it has its shape. .right! And I also don’t quite understand round 26…
What size beads do you use for the eyes or can I just do a French knot
Thanks for the beautifull pattern I enjoyd making this teacup
hi thanks for your beautiful pattern, I will crochet cup tea but I can,t understand the first of the pattern .I mean rnd 1 the main part of the cup, please help me
I used a piece of craft canvas plastic…. But remember anything you use and wash depending on drying method may either cause colors to run and/or melt. Those are risks we all take.
Hi, which size are the eyes from the cup and the tea bag? Looks they have different sizes….
How do you attach the tea Circle to the cup
Thank you so much! It is beautifull!!
I wish I there was an option to show pics, I wud love to share my teacups. Excellent pattern. I love how they came out. Thank you for ur free pattern
Hi Shari 🙂 You can post your pics in our community https://www.facebook.com/groups/amigurumidollscrochet/
If there’s cardboard, the cup can’t be washed if dirty….Can that part be left out?
This is optional 🙂
How about a video tutorial on this, from the very beginning to completion?
I would love that as well!!
Love this teacup, making it for my 93 year old friend as a Birthday gift.
Please let me know how to assemble the tea into the cup.
Thanks
Hi, I think, there is a difference between the photo and the pattern… You write row 12-25 60 sc (14 rows), but if I count the rows in the picture, this are about 17 rows… and how can I get the edge under the top of the cup, I mean row 4-5 if you count it from the top.. hope you know what I mean…. in my opinion the rows on the top are more than 60 sc!? Kind regards from germany!
Hey, thanks for sharing this lovely pattern! Do you think it is suitable for beginners?
Yes, but it’s better to start crocheting using video tutorials 🙂
That was so much fun!!!! Thanks so much for sharing your adorable, easy pattern with us!!!
Would be good if this could be printed, as easier to follow
Hi Sandra, you can buy a printable version of the pattern here >> https://shop.amigurumi.today/products/tea-cup-amigurumi-pattern-printable-pdf
This pattern is so so adorable!!!!!! Thank you so much!! I put crushed walnut shells(Bought in sewing store-All Brands)inside a stocking for the fill. Packed tightly and made it into a pincushion for my sewing studio! Absolutely adorable!!!!
This is a great idea!!! 🙂
Hi!! I love this so much but I don’t know how to crochet, but I can knitting very well. Is it possible to do it knit or will it not work? Thanks!
Sorry, it will not work the same.
I can understand that, you can crochet in a circle, but trying to do the same with two needles is a virtual impossibility. You kind of have to know how both knitting and crocheting to understand that it wont work. I asked at very same question to my tutor, it wasnt until I actually learned crochet that i understood why.
Row 11 says in front loops only, I think this should be back loops only to make it turn up. But I’m also a left handed crocheter, so don’t know if it makes any difference.
Super cute final product and great how you can make it with your own touches. I used F hook (3.75mm) and worsted weight yarn (in hot pink). It’s about 3 inches wide and 5 inches diameter. And I used 12mm eyes on the cup, 6mm on the tea bag.
I worked the front loops, did another 5 rounds and ended up frogging them. It looked much better in the back loops.
I did the exact same thing, ripped it out and went with back loops
Yes, it’s obvious from the image that it isn’t FLO but BLO.
I agree with BLO. But I noticed too late and didn’t want to frog it so I just turned the piece inside out.
Love this pattern. About the handle…rows 16-23, you say to sc in next 12 sts, but there are 14 sts from the previous row, what happens to the last 2 sts? Also need to know how to put it together.
Thank you
Hi Carol, thanks a lot for your message. This means that you need to make 2 decreases in Rnd 16, I updated the pattern to make it clear. The assembly is up to you 🙂
Hi, you havent said how to put all the pieces together or am i missing these key stages? Also when do i put the cardboard in?
Thanjs
Hi Amy, the cardboard lays inside the cup, right on the basement. The assembly is up to you 🙂
Hello ! I’m seriously in love with this pattern !! Just a question , do you slip stich & chain one at the end of every round or continue to the next round ? i ended up with a weird hexagon shape when i reached 60 stich and was confused , wasn’t it supposed to be round ?
Hi, thanks! It was crocheted in continuous rounds without slip stitches. Hexagon shape will become invisible if you work further. If this really bother you, you can crochet additional 1-2 sc after each round (they are not counted) till you reach 60 sc.
What are the dimensions of your finished product?
Its height is about 10-12 cm, but it also depends on hook size and yarn thickness.
Thank you for your reply regarding dimensions. I also note that your cup appears to curve in close to the top … should there be decreases? Thanks.
Glad to help you 🙂 No decreases, just crochet a little bit tightly. I mean not to make the last loops in every single crochet stitch too big (they will appear at the edge as chain).
Hello! Love this pattern. On the main cup on round 11 – I assume in addition to front loop only, you are doing just 1 sc in each stitch around for 60 total?
Hi Sarah, you’re right. Rnd 11 = 60 FLO sc.
Other wise so far I’m loving this pattern I am making 3 of them right now for my 3 sisters for Christmas gifts 🙂 thanks so much for this pattern it’s adorable can’t wait to see the finished product 🙂
I like to crochet things like this tea cup. That’s why I look for patterns all the time.
I am confused on rnd 26…how on earth do you do form the edge by 60 sc but above rnd 25? Isnt round 26 above rnd 25? Totally confused on this one…
Hi Connie, sorry for confusing. I mean the 24th rnd. So, to form the edge you should insert the hook in 24th round when crocheting 60 sc. I updated the pattern.
where to insert hook on the 24th round exactly? the inside or outside?
thank you!
Hi Jennifer, insert the hook outside the cup in the spaces of the Rnd 24 (so it looks like they are between Rnd 24 and 25). You’ll get long single crochet stitches. Here is a video-tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMcKEegH5mM
cool! thank you!
What does it mean by this:
Rnd 26: To form the edge crochet 60 sc, but above the 25th rnd.
how do crochet above a round?
Hi Deelite, it means that you should insert the hook in 24th Rnd. Sorry, if I explained it incorrectly.
A video tutorial will be more helpful for beginners like me to watch learn and understand… 😁
YES that’s what I want
A video since I am a beginner.
