What does it mean by this:

Rnd 26: To form the edge crochet 60 sc, but above the 25th rnd.

how do crochet above a round?

Hi Deelite, it means that you should insert the hook in 24th Rnd. Sorry, if I explained it incorrectly.

I am confused on rnd 26…how on earth do you do form the edge by 60 sc but above rnd 25? Isnt round 26 above rnd 25? Totally confused on this one…

Hi Connie, sorry for confusing. I mean the 24th rnd. So, to form the edge you should insert the hook in 24th round when crocheting 60 sc. I updated the pattern.

Hi Jennifer, insert the hook outside the cup in the spaces of the Rnd 24 (so it looks like they are between Rnd 24 and 25). You’ll get long single crochet stitches. Here is a video-tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMcKEegH5mM

Hello! Love this pattern. On the main cup on round 11 – I assume in addition to front loop only, you are doing just 1 sc in each stitch around for 60 total?

Its height is about 10-12 cm, but it also depends on hook size and yarn thickness.

Glad to help you 🙂 No decreases, just crochet a little bit tightly. I mean not to make the last loops in every single crochet stitch too big (they will appear at the edge as chain).

Hello ! I’m seriously in love with this pattern !! Just a question , do you slip stich & chain one at the end of every round or continue to the next round ? i ended up with a weird hexagon shape when i reached 60 stich and was confused , wasn’t it supposed to be round ?

Hi, thanks! It was crocheted in continuous rounds without slip stitches. Hexagon shape will become invisible if you work further. If this really bother you, you can crochet additional 1-2 sc after each round (they are not counted) till you reach 60 sc.

Row 11 says in front loops only, I think this should be back loops only to make it turn up. But I’m also a left handed crocheter, so don’t know if it makes any difference.
Super cute final product and great how you can make it with your own touches. I used F hook (3.75mm) and worsted weight yarn (in hot pink). It’s about 3 inches wide and 5 inches diameter. And I used 12mm eyes on the cup, 6mm on the tea bag.

I can understand that, you can crochet in a circle, but trying to do the same with two needles is a virtual impossibility. You kind of have to know how both knitting and crocheting to understand that it wont work. I asked at very same question to my tutor, it wasnt until I actually learned crochet that i understood why.

Hi, I think, there is a difference between the photo and the pattern… You write row 12-25 60 sc (14 rows), but if I count the rows in the picture, this are about 17 rows… and how can I get the edge under the top of the cup, I mean row 4-5 if you count it from the top.. hope you know what I mean…. in my opinion the rows on the top are more than 60 sc!? Kind regards from germany!

I used a piece of craft canvas plastic…. But remember anything you use and wash depending on drying method may either cause colors to run and/or melt. Those are risks we all take.

    But I have a few questions …
Is this in US or UK terminology in crochet?
After you done the 12-25 rows sc, how do you do the tops the rim of the cup ?

Also in think there should be a video to help us put it all together.

If you you do a video and you send me the link please, thank you

Problems: As the cup is crocheted you are to turn it inside out. My beginning tail I decided to weaved into the rightside of the cup so that the tail was hidden. The cardboard is shaped to fix the inside bottom of the cup. Also, I’m left handed and round 25 was just not turning out like the picture in the pattern. To solve this, I slip stitched to the next st turned my work chained 1 and then proceeded to crochet the 60 spike sts into round 24 and solved the issue. Not to worrysome but fixed my issues I was having. This pattern did not come with assembly instructions so one is to wing it beginning a moderately knowledgeable I was able to wing it. I do feel sad for anyone that tried this pattern with little knowledge. If anyone would like help I’d be more than happy to help them connect the pieces. I hope in the furture after so many have complained that this beautiful pattern would have the completed instructions included in the near future.
