Rnd 20: Fold the arm together and crochet 3 sc through both layers.
Legs:
Make 2: I made striped trousers with different width of stripes. You may make them in one colour or add more colours. When changing colours people often get unbeautiful diagonal shift. It means that colours change diagonally. Take note of that. To avoid this make 1-2 shifting stitches in the round where the colour is changed.
Start with the colour of trousers.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in a magic ring.
Rnd 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12 sc]
Rnd 3: (sc in the next st, inc) repeat 6 times [18]
Rnd 4: (sc in the next 2 st, inc) repeat 6 times [24]
Rnd 5-7: sc in all 24 st Change colour.
Rnd 8-10: sc in the next 24 st + 1 shifting stitch
Change colour.
Rnd 11-15: sc in tthe next 24 st + 1 or 2 shifting stitches to get colour change straight. Change colour.
Rnd 16-18: sc in all 24 st Change colour.
Rnd 19-20: sc in all 24 st Cut the yarn on the first leg, but don’t cut on the second.
Body:
Join the legs. Crochet with the same colour. Crochet 3 chains on the second leg, join to the first leg, pull tight to close the openings. Crochet sc in each stitch.
Rnd 21: sc in the next 24 st of the leg, sc in the next 3 ch, sc in the next 24 st of the leg, sc in the next 3 ch. [54 sc]
Rnd 22-23: sc in all 54 st Change colour.
Rnd 24-26: sc in all 54 st Change colour.
Rnd 27-31: sc in all 54 st Join the yarn of arm colour and crochet the body. The trousers yarn should go in the front. We will need it later.
Rnd 32: Crochet 54 sc in back loops.
Crochet 54 sl st of trousers colour in front loops. Fasten off and cut off the yarn. Continue with the body colour.
Rnd 33-35: sc in all 54 st.
Stuff the legs tightly. It’s more convenient to do it at this stage. Stuff the body as you go.

Rnd 39: (sc in the next 6 st, dec) repeat 6 times [42]

Rnd 44: (sc in the next 2 st, dec) repeat 6 times [18]

Hi. I’m in the middle of making rhe one alien. Its turning out very cute. However I am having trouble understanding how you attach the arms. If you could explain in more detail ends 27-31 it would be great. Thank you
Hi, I’m struggling with joining the legs. I don’t understand the chain and how we are working it?
Please crochet on both sides of the chains.
Thank you for such a cute pattern.. I enjoyed making this adorable alien. https://flic.kr/p/G8X47Y
Your alien is sooooo cute! 💕😊🤗 Congrats!
What size hook do you recommend? Unless I am blind I didn’t see a size.. Thank You
You can use 2.0 mm hook and fine (4 ply) yarn or 3.0 mm hook and DK yarn.
Hi. Thank you so much for this pattern. Its very clear and easy to follow. I just finished my alien and it looks amazing. I made black-orange trousers and I added small buttons on the front where the straps meet trousers. Mine is 40 cm tall and its was really fun making it!
Regards
Joanna
Great! Thank you! 🙂💕
I see where you have said that there is no pattern for the 2 eyed alien, but I have been trying to figure it out on my own. My question is, did you work it from top to bottom like you did the 1 eye, or did you make the top and the bottom and put them together?
Hi Shelby, it was made in the same way as one-eyed alien.
Have you made the pattern for the 2 headed alien yet. I cant seem to find him, and would really like to make him.
thanks.
Hi Penny, sorry, but there is no pattern for the two headed alien.
Hi,
thank you for this wonderful pattern. It is easy to follow – but what do you mean with Magic Ring in rnd 33-35?
Thanks for your help
Astrid from Germany
Hi Astrid, this was written by mistake 😀 Sorry 😳 33-35 Rnd: sc in each stitch = 54
Thanks 🙂
I’m already crocheting the second little alien 🙂
I’m still fairly new to crocheting and am slightly confused at the color change. What exactly do you mean by a shifting stitch? Thank you
Hi Kim, here is a tutorial how to make smooth beautiful stripes when changing the color http://needlenoodles.com/home/?q=node/139
Your page is so awesome and useful . Thank you so much. Good a lovely holiday
Thanks! Happy holiday!!!
These are really cute. I’d like to know how to make the orange one that has two eyes and antenas. There doesn’t seem to be any instructions for it. Thanks.
Merry Christmas.
Hi, sorry, the instructions for the second alien were not made. Merry Christmas <3
