Large Ami Cat
Free crochet pattern
Abbreviations:
sc = single crochet
st = stitch
inc = increase (two sc in one stitch)
dec = decrease (two stitches together)
[..] = total number of stitches
Helpful tip: To avoid getting a hexagon shape when crocheting head and body please make one sc in the beginning of each round and don’t count it as 1 stitch. Thus you’ll make a little shift. Note that this concerns only the rounds where you increase and decrease stitches.

Estoy fascinada con esta técnica y aprendiendo de a poco con uds. Gracias por compartir. Soy de Salta Argentina
💖🙂🌹
Cute
I will try to make the cat.
Can you explain more about you tip of avoiding hexagon shape by adding one Sc. You say don’t count as one stitch but my you end up with an extra stitch?
Hi Gail, as you you make shift with 1 sc, the round ends up with one extra stitch. So you have to move yarn marker 1 st forward every round where you make shift.
What a great tip, I will be using this in all of my future amigurami toys.
Thank you, great cat by the way, I’m going to make one for my niece who had her first baby today.
Can you explain where you put the extra stitch? I’m a visual learner and still getting used to reading patterns. I think I know what you mean, but am having difficulty visualising it. Even better would be if you have a link to a video on you tube.
Thanks for your patience
Hi Lucy 🙂 Every new round begins with extra stitch.
Hello im still confused. So the extra stitch is my last stitch? And my first stitch is the stitch after?
The extra stitch is between the last one and the first one.
Thankyou Mel,
I’d love it if you started a you tube channel. I’ve only just started doing Amigurumi so still learning.
hi, I am working on the cat now and just want to confirm the extra stitch. I have been adding it to my first stitch of the round (if it calls for 1 sc i have done 2). Is that what I am supposed to do, or do you do the extra sc in its own stitch?
Hi Sarah, you can crochet without 1 extra stitch, the design won’t change. If you want to make it, please shift your stitch marker 1 stitch forward.
Wow
Hi, how many skeins of Alize Cotton Gold Batik does it take to make one cat?
About 1 skein
Hello
I’m a beginner at crochet and would like to attempt this I have two questions
1. Is there a yarn brand substitute as this particular brand is not available to me?
2. The smallest crochet hook I could find was a D 3.25mm?
I attempted to start this but the stitches look much bigger in the pictures posted then mine do ? Help pls
Hi Sara, here is a similar yarn but of other weight http://www.iceyarns.com/camilla-cotton-magic-turquoise-lilac-green-blue-shades
I think 3.25 mm crochet hook is suitable if you use Camilla Cotton Magic yarn. Note that your ami cat will be bigger in this case 🙂
Thank you so much for replying! To avoid the hexagon shape do you mean add an extra sc in your marker stitch but do not count that as the beginning of the row?
Crochet 1 extra stitch (don’t count it) and move your yarn marker 1 stitch forward.
Hi! Can you please help me with the tips you mentioned?..i mean do i have to crochet sc in ma first st of the row and dont count it?
Asma
Hi Asma, yes, exactly 🙂
Depending on where you are located, Etsy has decent pricing. Amazon has it also, but you are obligated to purchase multiple skeins
I too have a qiestion. Do we join at the end of each round with a slip stitch, or is this pattern worked as a spiral?
Work in a spiral 🙂
I think they are wonderful! I’m having a go using up yarn;( who isn’t?) If successful will post on Pinterest: Debbie Irving , .Chester UK
thank you, the cat are beautiful! Greetings from Amsterdam, nederlands
In the directions for the body, you recommend adding some granulate to the bottom so the cat will sit alone.
Could you please describe the granulate you used?
Thank you,
Janet
Hi Janet, these are poly pellets (bought in craft store). You can also use other materials, for example, glass pellets or dried jerry stones.
If I wanted to use a standars dk yarn could i use a 4mm hook.
Thanks
Hi Nikki, use a hook that matches your yarn well, but note if you use DK yarn your cat will be bigger 🙂
It’s so cute I’m starting to work on it right now my granddaughter want it I use Carson cake pink swirl it’s pretty cool n it’s bigger 😇
Awesome! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Hey,
thank you for this awesome pattern. I have a ball of Alice Cotton Gold, but it seems to be for 2-3 mm crochet hooks. May I use a 2mm? It looks a bit thick 🙂
Do you mean 1 ball in the instruction, or do I need more?
Greetings
2 mm hook is appropriate for this yarn
Thanks a lot 🙂
It´s doable with 1 ball of yarn, or do I need more? 🙂
It depends on your yarn. If you use the specified yarn (fingering / 4ply), one ball is enough.
SO CUTE!
These cats are so cute! Is there a video on how to crochet these? I am new to crocheting and the instructions confuse me…thanks 🙂
Hi Cindy, unfortunately, there is no video.
Maybe in the future there will be a video? I hope so, I’m not very good with the written patterns.
How do I download the patterns?
You can buy printable PDF version of the pattern in our store https://shop.amigurumi.today/products/large-ami-cat-pattern-printable-pdf
Hi there
I was wondering is the stitches in American meaning singles r doubles , doubles r trebles and so on
Need to know as cannot wait to start
Thank you
Deb
Hi Deb, you can learn about the difference between UK and US crochet terms from the article http://www.simplycrochetmag.co.uk/2013/07/04/uk-and-us-crochet-conversion-chart/
This is such a wonderful pattern. Adored by everyone. Couldn’t part with the first one I made, second one a special Birthday gift for my mum. Thank You for sharing.x
I guess your mum will be happy! ^^
Hi,
I am having some major trouble with this pattern.
I ordered the recommended yarn. It is a good quality and the color is true. The problem is, it is very fine. It certainly won’t work up to the scale that is stated. If I use the size hook recommended in the supplies section (1.7 mm) is very small for use with yarn. The size hook shown on the wrapper (3.3 mm) is more to my liking but I think it is too large for use with this yarn. I’d appreciate any advise you could offer.
Thank you.
Kathy
Hi Kathy, please note that to crochet amigurumi you should use a hook that is much smaller than it’s specified on yarn label. If it’s hard for you to work with 1.7 mm hook, please try 2.0-2.5 mm hook, it should be suitable.
How much yarn does it take for one cat?
One multi color and one white?
Thanks
Dawn
Hi Dawn, yes, one multi color and one white skein should be enough.
Thank you can’t wait to try it
Hi
Thank you for sharing this awesome cat pattern😘
I need help in connecting the head☺️, how did you connect the head of the ami cat and on which row is the eyes and muzzle?
Thank you once again.
Hi Aibel, simply sew the head to the body with tapestry needle and thread. Eye and muzzle placement is up to you 🙂
Thank you so much for your help😘
I’m already excited to finish it.😍
Hi thank you so much for the Ami cat pattern. I have completed everything , but the muzzle looks too small and not at all like the one in your pictures. I dont know what i am doing wrong. I want to give this to my grandson who loves cats.
Hi Lalitha :), did you use the yarn of the same weight as the main one? If you used two skeins of different weight, in this case proportions can be different.
Thank you for your reply. I am using the same yarn but i am going to give it another try.
I am very new to this. For the body, RND 2: (Inc) repeat 6 times (12). Does it mean 2 sc in each stitch around for a total of 12 or increase 1 sc each round 12 times.
Hi Valerie, it means to make 2 sc in each stitch of the round = 12 stitches in total
Is there a comparable yarn that I could buy from Michaels to make these? I am also in Canada so our choices are limited. I found a few I think could work but they don’t have just a white skein. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
My two kids want one so much!!!
Hi Paula, you can use any batik yarn for these cats. But note that dimensions of finished toy depend on yarn weight and hook size.
Thanks so much for the pattern! I am making my first one right now! May we sell the finished product, or no? I would give you credit for the pattern.
Hi, you can sell the finished toys, but no more than 50 items per month.
Hi! I have a doubt: If you add 1 stitch in each row with an increase or decrease, that means that you end up with more stitches? I’m confused . Thanks for the pattern, is very cute!
Hi Lara 🙂 Simply crochet 1 sc at the beginning of each round, but don’t count it.
Thank you very much! I’m working on it right now.
Hi! Is this patern in UK or US terms ?☺
US crochet terms
Hello, thank you for the pattern. Are you able to do a tutorial on the head please. I’m a beginner and find it easier to watch. Thank you
Looks cute, I’ll try😸 TNKS from Israel
Hi,
I just started this cat project. You wrote in your pattern to use granulates to make the cat sit up on its own. What sort of granulate did you use for your cat?
Thanks.
Vivian
Poly pellets 🙂
Hi, I am making my first large amigurami cat at the moment, I have completed the head and body and have put stuffing in both how do you know how much stuffing to put in,I suppose you can overstuff the pieces can’t you,is there anyway of knowing when’s enough please? Thankyou Kaye.
Hi Kaye, the toy is overstuffed if stuffing material looks out through the stitches.
Hi from Texas! Thank you so very much for this adorable Ami Cat pattern! I am all finished with all the parts but am having trouble with the muzzle; shouldn’t it be an oval and then increase from there? I used an “F” hook and Caron Cakes yarn…so cute! Thanks again for sharing.
Best regards,
Rebecca
Hi Rebecca 🙂 It’s crocheted in the same manner as other parts, but at the end you flatten the muzzle to get an oval.
Hi, I started with 5mm yarn and the head was coming out to big, is the yarn 4mm or 4.5mm, please help right away, I love this pattern
Hi Mary 🙂 Please use a baby/sport yarn (4 ply) for this cat.
I used size 4 yarn and a 3.5mm hook. The head will look big but after the body is done it’s just right
This has been a wonderful pattern so far! Easy to follow and absolutely adorable. I just want to be sure I’m doing this correctly: are the arms and legs stuffed? Thank you!
Hi Anna, stuff only half of the arms and legs 🙂
Hi, I’m very new at this and thought I would try this as it says it’s for beginners. What’s confusing me is that you say to add a stitch and not count it when increasing and decreasing. I started doing that but I’m ending up with extra stitches. So does it work like this: after the first round of 6 stitches one would work a sc into the first stitch and then start counting 12 stitches after that so it will actually be 13 stitches and then again work a sc into the first stitch of the next round and start counting from there and so on.
Thank you so much.
I have crocheted for 60 years and have never heard the term “magic circle”. Could you explain, please? I am eager to do this cat. Thank you
Hi Winona, you can find the instructions here >> https://amigurumi.today/basic-crochet-stitches-tutorial/
Hello and thank you for this pattern. I hwveva question about the arms and legs, after the white parts for the paws do you stuff the arms and legs also? There’s no mention of this. Also just a suggestion but for the muzzle and feet it might be helpful for others of it stated start with white yarn. Thank you again
Hi Virginia, please stuff only bottom of the arms and the legs.
DEAR CREATOR OF THIS ADORABLE CAT PATTEREN. I ABSOULTY LOVE THESE CATS AND HAVE BRAND NEW TRIPLET GRANDAUGHTERS AND CROCHETING IS NOT ONE OF THE CRAFTS I HAVE MASTERED SO I WANTED TO ASK IF YOU MAKE AND SELL THESE LITTLE CUTIES.
SINCERELY,
TRACY HOEFER
Hi Tracy, we don’t sell the finished toys at the moment.
I was wondering, after I finish crocheting the body and continue crocheting into the head from the bottom working to the top, that way I won’t have to sew them together, it would be one whole together, could this be possible? Thanks
Hi Snooky, yes, this is possible 🙂
For this free pattern I find no way to copy the pattern, other than buying it. I would like the free pattetn.
Hi Lessie 🙂 You can use online versions of the patterns for free on our website and mobile app. PDF version itself is not free. Because it takes a lot of time to prepare the patterns. So, in spite of this fact all people who can’t pay for PDF patterns can view them on the website and make wonderful toys. We don’t hide the instructions. Hope for your understanding 🙂
Hey … it’s just a gorgeous doll … I’m interested in translating the chart into Hebrew (of course with a link to this page) … I’d be happy to get your approval for the matter. Thanks
Hi Irena :), thank you! Unfortunately, translation is not allowed.
OK I got it. Anyway thank you.
Hi ,
Thank you for the wonderful instructions
I’m new to Amigurumi and this I’d my first toy
I finished all parts but I’m confused about how to assemble the the parts together
Are there any videos or instructions on how to do it ?
Hi Balsam, unfortunately, there is no video tutorial at the moment.
Hi, I want to ask about somethings for the cat amigurumi. For the legs and arms, after we changed to the main colour, do we have to stuff lightly as we go or leave it empty? Need guidance, thank you 🙂
Hi Shakuntala, please stuff only the bottom parts of the arms and legs 🙂
Hello! Can I sell items made with this?
Hi Anne, you are more than welcome to sell finished crochet toys made with the help of our patterns, giving a credit to our website, but no more than 50 items per month 🙂
Wonderful, thanks a lot for all your help
Love this pattern, looking forward to making a start. I have read lots of the questions so hopefully with your answers I should be OK!!! Wish me luck. x
Good luck, Val! 😊💕
Dear Amigurmi Today, i was wondering if it is allowed to translate this gorgeous pattern into another language? Of course with credits to you as the original designer and referring to this website. I’m a modarator in a large corcheters-group on Facebook and a lot of people say that they can’t read English, therefor i want to help them with a translation, but only if i have permission to do so. I’m looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks in advance and kind regards, Esther
Hi Esther 🙂 Translation in other languages is not allowed.
Hi, I used the same yarn & needle for the body & head, but the head seems way too big. Is there shaping required to fit the head to the body to sew together? Thank you.
Hi Bernice, the size of the toy parts also depends on stitch tightness. Perhaps, you crocheted toy parts with different density.
I’m new to amigurumi and came across this beginners pattern on Ravelry. So glad I did as just completed my first Ami Cat and totally adore him, so does everyone who’s seen him so far, so I think this cat is going to be made quite alot. Thank you so much for the pattern 😊
Thank you, Carolyn! 🌷💕
Thank you for the pattern. I made it and it turned out quite cute. My niece is going to love it!!
Thank you, Val ❤🌷
hello.. I really love this pattern .. is it possible to translate this pattern to Arabic and share it ??
Hi Dana, this is forbidden.
Hermoso Ami cat, una consulta el bozal se rellena?
Saludos
No, el bozal no se rellena.
Hi.
I’m almost done crocheting this pattern. But I have a question about stuffing. Do you stuff all arms and legs or only the white part?
Thanks
Hi Angy, only white parts 🙂
Hi, I so fell in love with your version, that I ordered the same yarn. I started with the hook 2,5 and it seems to be fine. I’m looking forward to sharing the pictures of my cat with you. Thanks again for giving inspiration!
Thank you, Dominika! 🌷💖
Can you tell me what numbers the multi purple and the multi turquoise are. It is very hard to tell on the website to order it. I love the cat and hope to make it for my grand daughters.
Thanks
Ronnie
Wonderful,
was immediately asked to do more for friends‘ kids 😊
I want one more large
What can I do to be larger
Is there a pattern larger than this?
You can use thicker yarn and bigger hook 🙂
Lindo trabalho agostei muito, obrigada por compartilhar
I’m making my third cat. They are so cute.
I just finished this guy last night and he us absolutely astonishingly precious! I used a larger guage yarn and two sizes up from the hook and he turned out just perfect only about double and a half the size of the one portrayed. I would reccommend this pattern to everyone. Its easy, and just purrrfect.
Thank you! 🙂
I’m loving making my first ami cat. However I am having problems with the muzzle. I can’t gremlin to get it to lie flat. It looks more like the beginning of a paw. Do you have any suggestions? Is there an update to the pattern?
Many thanks Celia
Love it
Goeiedag graag had ik deze patroon in het Nederlands dank je wel😁
Just finished the cat. He’s a cheeky little fellow! My granddaughter will love him. Thanks for the fabulous pattern ♡♡♡♡
Hi, I have nearly finished crocheting the parts.
What is the best way to sew them together, and do you add the arms after you have sewn the head to the body, or do you catch them in at the same time?
Thank you
Joy 🙂
Hi Joy 🙂 You can pin the parts at first, and, if you like the look, sew them on.
I’m having such a hard time figuring out that extra stitch. So, does that extra stitch end up being the last stitch of the row? Or do we just skip over it? I REALLLY want to make this kitty. Please help!! I’ve read all the other comments but I’m just not getting it. I’m so sorry.
Hi Patty 🙂 After finishing a round, make 1 sc in next st, but don’t count it as a stitch of the next round.
I just posted a comment asking AGAIN (cause everyone did) about that darn extra stitch. Somehow, while I was waiting for a reply, I figured it out. LOL!!! I’m sorry to bother you. I got this and I can’t wait to share pics of the finished kitty with you. Your patterns are amazing. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us. BTW, I am using Lion Brand Mandala in Thunderbird. 🙂 Have a great day!
I just started this… but was doing a slip stitch then ch 1 at the end. Oops. Like patty said, I’m a bIt confused about the extra stitch. So would I slip stitch round together, then do 2 sc in first stitch of round? Since we are not counting the one?
Hi Marilyn 🙂 After finishing a round, make 1 sc in next st, but don’t count it as a stitch of the next round. Please don’t make any extra increases.
Ohhhh how sweet want to make for my one yr old great Granddaughter, thanks sooo very much for free pattern!!! I hsve never heard of Grandulet, you say to put so will sit proper. I have only used worsted Red Heart yarn for my Ami but want to try Lion Brand Mandela hoping not too thin but noticed another person was using. Cannot wait to start my cat, need to finish a very challenging Horse right now not sure if will ever make another. Lol
Hi! This pattern is exellent 🙂 Thank you very much for sharing!
I can’t wait to finish mine 😀
I was wondering if you would let me translate your patterns into spanish on my blog (with links to your site, of course) so more people can make your gorgeous creations.
Thank you, Paula 🙂 Translation in other languages is not allowed.
Buenos días! Es un patrón muy bonito, solo tengo una duda, a qué altura tejes el hocico y los ojos? Pienso ponerle ojitos de seguridad. Muchas gracias! Saludos!!!
Any tips on putting it together?
Your pattern is great. My first arigurumi. Thank you.
Thank you for the pattern! I enjoy knitting it ! And my nephew is so happy with his nice Amineko.
Thank you 🙂
Thank you so much!!! This pattern is amazing! Just finished two cats for my granddaughters! Am in love with how they turned out. It is my first Amigurumi project and I am so proud of myself. Am sure that half of my success is due to you. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you, Olga!!! 🌹💕
I absolutely LOVE this cat! My mom saw it wants one, so I am attempting to make it for her! I am a bit of a crochet newbie, (about 50 yrs since I last crocheted ha ha) but the only trouble I seem to have, is making the ears pointed! Any suggestions?
I plan on posting the pic on Facebook giving your site credit for the pattern of course so I want to get it as close as possible. Thank you for your willingness to share your awesome patterns! =)
Hello, I know you have answered questions about the addition of a sc for increases and decreases, so I’m just curious for when you increase, does that mean 3 crochets in the first stitch but only counting 2 of them? Thanks, and sorry if I’m repeating a question. I’m still new and this is the first time I’m hearing a tip like this.
Increase = 2 sc in next stitch
Could you explain how to attach the muzzle?
Flatten it the sew the flat oval on horizontal.
Hello!
Thank you for this gorgeous pattern! Am I allowed to sell finished cats made by this pattern?
Thanks again!
Milena
Hi 🙂 you are more than welcome to sell finished crochet toys made with the help of our patterns, giving a credit to our website, but no more than 50 items per month 🙂
I’m having difficulty attaching the muzzle. Any advice for the construction of the cat ?
I put a little stuffing behind the muzzle then pinned it in place and using matching white yarn simply whip stitched it in place.
Just completed my second cat! Love this pattern. My girls are obsessed! Thank you for sharing ❤️
Thank you! 💕🌹
What is the weight of this yarn? Sport weight? Feather weight?
It is 4 ply super fine yarn.
Thanks for a great pattern 🙂
El patrón de gato es magnifico, pero realmente cuantos metros se necesita para hacerlo, pues el ovillo tiene 100 gramos y unos 300 metros, al final utilizas todo el ovillo. Gracias.
Hello! I have a question. What do you do for the ears? The ears will not square but round… Do you have an idea what is my mistake?
Best wishes
And sorry for my bad English
You flatten them then sew them on. They look round when you are crocheting it. Hope this answered your questions.
I can’t wait to start on this for my daughter and her friends!! What are all the colors you used for the cats already made. Really love the blue one and purple one. Thanks.
Thank u so much for sharing this .I was looking for this pattern for a long time .
Thank you very much for this pattern and yarn suggestions and pictures of already crochet cats. I had fun making 4 cats in 4 different color patterns – they came out very very cute, all of my friends liked them. Instructions were very clear. Thank you again
Thank you, Irina, for kind words 🙂
Never used poly pellets before. Looking to buy some and they seem to be available in various size packs. How much in weight roughly do I need for 1 cat,?
Not much, about 50-100g to put it in the bottom of the body.
Hi,
I think there is 6 cats shown above in different colors, what are the skein numbers for each color?
Thanks
This pdf does not print properly. It is way too big for the page. Since you are charging for it, it should be useful. Is there a fix for this bug?
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us. In case of any scaling issues please check printer and/or PDF viewer settings. For Adobe Reader settings please check the link below:
https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/scale-or-resize-printed-pages.html
In case you have any questions please feel free to contact us. We’re happy to help you.
This is what I’m wondering too, is the extra stitch in it’s own stitch or do you put two stitches in the first stitch
You just need to move the yarn marker one stitch forward.
Hi, I bought the PDF file, but I’m struggling with the additional sc at the beginning of each round, just to have a clear instruction if the round has 12 st, you will end up with 13 right? Then will u start next round over that st, or will you jump it? I’m getting the hexagonal head 🙁
I am wanting to make this but I an having trouble finding the yarn near me. What should I be looking for in a replacement yarn?
is there a chart or graph to follow for the extra stitch? I really want to do it, but im more of a visual learner.
Hi there thank you for the lovely pattern. Is this made with one skein of the yarn?
How can I make this like half this size? I’m already using a tiny hook and thin yarn. It’s an adorable pattern. Thanks!
I have made the cat with chunky yarn and it came out so cute. It is a gift for an 18 month ould. Sure he is going to like it. Many thanks
Thank you for this fantastic pattern. It’s been easy to follow. I’ve made two cats & can’t wait to start another. I stitched the body & legs to look like the cat is wearing a striped shirt & short pants. So cute! Again, thank you for sharing this pattern with us.
Thank you! 🌹💖
Have made this in plain grey dk with white muzzle & feet using 2mm hook, as it’s what my grandaughter wanted. It came out beautifully, pattern so easy to follow, thankyou so very much. Absolutely delighted.
Thank you! 💖🌹
Thank you for this pattern. I’ve done and sold about 100 cats in two years and donated the money to my local animal welfare organisation.
Thank you 🙂 Great job!
Mirjami, may I ask what you charge for them and who do you sell to? I wouldn’t know the first thing about selling mine. Thank you, Ani
Is 1 skein Of the yarn listed enough per cat?
First ami and I’m almost ready to start putting together. I think this guy is adorable, but I don’t think the written pattern is written well for a true beginner i.e. the legs don’t tell you to start with the white. The tip about the extra stitch is confusing. I’m still not sure I totally understand. Every row that has an increase or decrease is supposed to end with one extra stitch count for that row but it should just be a sc and not part of the pattern stitches and the marker goes to the stitch after the extra to show the start of the new round? More direction on how long tails should be and how to attach all the parts would have been greatly appreciated. I still love the pattern but it did require additional searches.
I made this one for an adult cat lover, she takes Sydney out with her camping and on her many road trips. I made it in purple, then made her a purple pussy hat to match. Love your patterns, super easy to understand and super cute. I sure wish you had more dog patterns like this for all the dog lovers in my family!
Love the pattern I am on my 4th cat. I have used 8ply wool and number 4 hook. 2 were for babies and 1 was for cat rescue raffle. One I’m doing is for order but money will go to rescue.
Is the one skein enough for a whole cat?
One skein was just exactly enough for my cat. I had a second just in case, but I didn’t need it. Happy hooking!
Is there a video online somewhere to show me how to do the increases without causing the head to look like a hexagon. I am totally confused.
Super cool
on which round do u embroid the eyes? and which roung is the muzzle to be placed ? thanks
what US size hook should I use with sport weight yarn? I don’t know what a 1.7 hook size in US would be. Thank you
This is the 3rd one I’ve made from this pattern, it is SO easy to make, even for beginners and when its all put together, its a good size. The other two I’ve done now live with two very happy kids. Give it a go, you wont regret it. GREAT pattern, thank you.
Maravilloso muchas gracias por compartirlos
This is the third one I’m making. The first one is my three-year-old most cherished toy, one was a gift, this one I’m making now is a replacement for our dear Meow and is going to be called Newmeow. There is no easier pattern anywhere, and the finished toy looks amazing. Many thanks for the pattern!
Wzór super myślę że wnukom się spodobają takie piękne kocurki
HI I cannot seem to print the pattern?
Online version of this pattern is free, but if you want to print or download it, you have to buy PDF version.
I love the way it turned out!
I am working on my first one. I have questions: Are just the “paws” stuffed on the arms and legs? What row do you attach the legs and tail? Arms? Thanks for any advice.
Just stuff the paws and not the whole arm or leg
How do you decreases then with these extra stitches?
There are no extra stitches. You are just rearranging the stitches to avoid making a hexagon.
Does the paid pattern have more information about assembly, etc than the free?
Stagger your increases so that they don’t all line up.
Here’s a video from Happy Berry Crochet. She doesn’t really explain how to do the staggering until about the 12th minute.
pattern calls for 1.7mm crochet hook but the recommended yarns says it’s suitable for 2-4mm hook. What to do? crochet with smaller hook or use yarn manufacturers recommendation? Is it harder to crochet with a smaller hook? will the result be different if using a larger hook eg 2mm? I’d appreciate your advise asap.
What rounds do you attach the legs, arms and ears…
I have a question about the Polly pellets, do you plac3 them inside loose or in a stocking to hold it in one area?
I just started and don’t understand how inc (meaning 2 sc in each stitch) will change 12 stitches in row 2 to 18 stitches in row 3. Wouldn’t 2 sc in each of 12 stitches end up being 24 sc?
I just checked with another crocheter and got the answer I need. So, never mind.
You are supposed to crochet 1 sc and then 1inc And then 1sc and 1 inc and the same again and again until the end of the row. So, you will finally have crocheted alternately 6 sc and 6 inc(=12), totalling 18 points.
No, porque debes tener en cuenta que se hacen puentos y aumento entonces se incrementaria en 6 o sea tenias 12 mas 6 son 18
Hook size recommended seems very small for this yarn. Did anyone who made this use a bigger hook?
Hi, is there an online tutorial to make this cat?? I’m a total beginner and find the tutorials so helpful. thanks
J adore

Loved how my cat came out, everything was easy to follow.
Deciding which one I’m going to do next.
Thankyou for the easy to follow patterns.
Thank you!
Hello! I am mid way through pattern , does anyone know the finished size? Ty in advance. CJ AmburDuck
There are no assembly instructions. What row and how far apart are the legs, arms, muzzle and ears supposed to be attached? Also, please provide instructions for the embroidery.
