To crochet this amigurumi dog you’ll need:
- Medium (worsted) yarn with plush velour texture (120 m / 100 g)
- 3.5-4.0 mm crochet hook
- 12 mm safety eyes
- 15 mm safety nose
- Polyester fiberfill
- Black embroidery floss
- Scissors and sewing needle
The size of finished amigurumi dog is about 15 cm (5.9″), if you use similar supplies.

st = stitch
sc = single crochet
inc = increase (2 sc in one stitch)
dec = decrease (2 sc together)
sl st = slip stitch
(..) = repeat the instructions in brackets the given number of times
[..] = total number of stitches
Crochet the dog continuously in a spiral (unless otherwise specified), marking the beginning of each round with a stitch marker.
Begin crocheting with white yarn.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring 
Rnd 2: (inc) repeat 6 times 
Rnd 3: (sc in next 2 st, inc) repeat 4 times 
Rnd 4: (sc in next 7 st, inc) repeat 2 times 
Rnd 5: (sc in next 8 st, inc) repeat 2 times 
Rnd 6: sc in next 7 st, (inc) x 6 times, sc in next 7 st 
Rnd 7: sc in all 26 st 
Rnd 8: sc in next 7 st, (sc in next st, inc) x 6 times, sc in next 7 st 
Rnd 9: (sc in next 7 st, inc) repeat 4 times 
Rnd 10: sc in all 36 st 
Insert safety nose between Rnd 3 and Rnd 4. Stuff the muzzle firmly with fiberfill.
Rnd 11-12: sc in all 36 st 
Insert safety eyes between Rnd 6 and Rnd 7 (6-8 stitches in between the eyes).
Rnd 13: (sc in next 4 st, dec) repeat 6 times 
Rnd 14: sc in all 30 st 
Rnd 15: (sc in next 3 st, dec) repeat 6 times

Stuff with fiberfill. Shape the muzzle with your hand.

Fasten off leaving a small tail. Weave in the yarn tail in front loops of the rest 6 stitches with your hook or sewing needle, then pull to close the hole. Hide the end.
