Free amigurumi pumpkin crochet pattern by Amigurumi Today


Brighten your fall season with a bunch of cute amigurumi pumpkins. You can easily make them in three sizes with any type of yarn using our free Halloween pumpkin crochet pattern!

To crochet these Halloween pumpkins you need:

  • Semi-cotton yarn Yarnart Jeans (160 m / 50 g; 55% cotton, 45% acrylic) or any other that you have
  • 2.0 mm crochet hook or hook suitable for your yarn
  • Fiberfill for stuffing
  • Large sewing needle and scissors

Skill level: easy

The diameters of finished amigurumi pumpkins are approximately 6.5 cm (2.5″), 8 cm (3″), 10 cm (3.9″), if you use the specified supplies. The pumpkin crochet pattern can work well with thicker yarn, but note that your toys will be bigger.

Abbreviations:
st = stitch
sc = single crochet
inc = increase
dec = decrease
sl st = slip stitch
sc BLO = single crochet in back loop only
(..) = repeat the instructions in brackets the given number of times
[..] = total number of stitches

Work in continuous rounds (vs. joined rounds) with a yarn marker. Use invisible decrease technique:

Medium-size Pumpkin Crochet Pattern

Medium-size pumpkin:
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Rnd 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
Rnd 3: (sc BLO in next st, inc) repeat 6 times [18]
Rnd 4: (sc BLO in next st, sc in next st, inc) repeat 6 times [24]
Rnd 5: (sc BLO in next st, sc in next 2 st, inc) repeat 6 times [30]
Rnd 6: (sc BLO in next st, sc in next 3 st, inc) repeat 6 times [36]
Rnd 7: (sc BLO in next st, sc in next 4 st, inc) repeat 6 times [42]
Rnd 8: (sc BLO in next st, sc in next 5 st, inc) repeat 6 times [48]
Rnd 9: (sc BLO in next st, sc in next 6 st, inc) repeat 6 times [54]
Rnd 10: (sc BLO in next st, sc in next 7 st, inc) repeat 6 times [60]
Rnd 11-20: (sc BLO in next st, sc in next 9 st) repeat 6 times [60]

Rnd 22: (sc BLO in next st, sc in next 6 st, dec) repeat 6 times [48]

Rnd 24: (sc BLO in next st, sc in next 4 st, dec) repeat 6 times [36]
Rnd 25: (sc BLO in next st, sc in next 3 st, dec) repeat 6 times [30]

Rnd 27: (sc BLO in next st, sc in next st, dec) repeat 6 times [18]
Stuff with fiberfill.
Rnd 28: (sc BLO in next st, dec) repeat 6 times [12]
Rnd 29: (dec) repeat 6 times [6]
Fasten off leaving a long tail. Weave in the yarn tail in front loops of the rest 6 stitches with large sewing needle, then pull to close the hole. Don’t cut off the yarn.

      (De achterste lus is waar de strepen zitten in de pompoen)

    I think this pattern is adorable but im doing something wrong and I can’t figure it out and I e done it twice. My indents lines are coming out crooked from row now 11 on. It won’t let me post a picture.
