Romeo the Tiger amigurumi pattern by Amigurumi Today

We all love wild cats, but they just don’t make great roommates. This super cute amigurumi tiger, on the other hand, certainly does. Crochet it today with our step-by-step pattern!

Find us on Instagram >> https://www.instagram.com/amigurumitoday/

To crochet this amigurumi tiger you need:

  • 4 ply fine semi-cotton yarn in black, white, and orange colors
  • Some brown yarn for nose
  • 2.0 mm crochet hook
  • Fiberfill
  • 10 mm safety eyes
  • Scissors and sewing needle

Skill level: intermediate

The size of the finished toy is about 15 cm (6″) when sitting. Please pay attention that the size of your amigurumi tiger can be different, if you use the yarn of other weight.

Hi I have a question, some of your amigurumi look normal and then some of them have squared X like stitches including this one. Is it because you’re yarning under vs yarning over? I notice the x’s are more noticeable when used with cotton yarns.

Will you ever make a post on the differences with tip?

How can I print this off? I live in an area that internet service is not always up. I found on Pintrest. It said that it was a free pattern, but I can’t get it to copy & paste. I do not sell them but make them for kids. I would appreciate your help.

What weight of yarn should I use?
I would love to make this but can’t buy anything without knowing the weight.
I would like to use the right weight to get my toy to look nice

Is anyone else having issues with the muzzle? When I add the orange it isn’t lining up with where it should be.

It’s really hard to find baby/sport yarn. Can I use yarn weight 4 (worsted) and crochet size 4.5? Would that negatively affect the result or the tiger would just be bigger? Thank you!

It will just be bigger! I used worsted and a 3.5 hook for another pattern that called for similar yarn and hook and it ended up a little less than twice as big
