These free crochet animal patterns can help you to create any animal you want by changing muzzle and ears. The head, body and legs of the amigurumi toys are crocheted as a single piece. So, you don’t need to sew these parts together. Everything is very easy and suits to beginner level skills.
Below you can find step-by-step crochet animal patterns for two amigurumi toys: bear and bunny. Share your ideas about other crochet animals in the post comments. We will try to make patterns for them.
To crochet the animals you need:
- Fine (4 ply) cotton or semi-cotton yarn (you can use other types of yarn)
- 2.0 mm crochet hook
- 8 mm safety eyes or black beads
- Some embroidery floss for nose and brows
- Fiberfill for stuffing
- A button for cowl (optional)
- Sewing needle and scissors
The height of finished crochet animals is about 10 cm (3.9″) without ears. Please pay attention that the size of finished amigurumi toys can be different, if you use the yarn of other weight.
Skill level: easy

I crochet different things for donations ( afghans, booties, hats and more) – these little ones are perfect for donations – quick to crochet and so cute!
I like the valuable info you provide to your articles.

Hello, when you have to jump the points to make the legs you have to make chains or turn the work? Thank you.
Hi Rocio 🙂 you should divide the body in two parts (each part consists of 13 st) and crochet around each part separately.
Thanks for these adorable patterns ! I would like to make the dog. Have you any information for the ears?

My first visit to the site. I looked at some of the free patterns today. Why am I unable to download them
Hi Val 🙂 You can use online versions of the patterns for free on our website and mobile app. PDF version itself is not free. Because it takes a lot of time to prepare the patterns. So, in spite of this fact all people who can’t pay for PDF patterns can view them on the website and make wonderful toys. We don’t hide the instructions. Hope for your understanding 🙂
Kannst su bitte die abkürzungen erklären:

Hello! I was going to make the scarf, but I’m not sure what the abbreviation “DC” stands for?
Thank you very much, your site is adorable.
It’s double crochet stitch.
Could you please tell me the amount of wool needed for these patterns please as it doesn’t mention anywhere.
Thanx
A skein of yarn would be enough
Love the site and the patterns!
Thank you!
To make a little dog you can use the bunny pattern but attach the ears each side of head hanging downwards
Jenny
They are so cute. If you make the legs longer they could be mini dolls. The only question I have is which row to add the safety eyes at
Between Rnd 10 and Rnd 11

Hi there! I absolutely love this pattern.
One quick question. If I used a worsted weight yarn, what hook size would you recommend?
Thank you so much!

Hallo, ihr habt so schöne Figuren. Ich würde diese gerne machen aber die Anleitungen sind leider nicht in deutscher Sprache. Könntet ihr es möglich machen diese in gewünschter Sprache anzubieten?
Thank you for so many lovely patterns of dolls and animals. I make these toys and sell them to raise money for my animal charity in Sitia ,Crete, You are so very clever.with the patterns as they are so easy to adapt so thank you very much for your kindness.and generosity.
Thank you, Joy! 🌹💖
I love your patterns and have made many of them. Thanks for sharing. Can you tell me what you do to make them fuzzy?
You just need to add mohair wool strand to your yarn, then to brush it when the toy is done.
hi ! you are AMAZING !!! I love all your babies and your patterns are so easy to follow, thank you so much for all your work and dedication. I really appreciate.Hugs
Thank you so much! 🌹💖
I have just registered with you.
You have a amigurumi pattern that you say is free yet the PDF wants it paid for, and
althought I can see the pattern it will not print either?
Love, Rita .
Hi Rita 🙂 You can use online versions of the patterns for free on our website and mobile app. PDF version itself is not free. Because it takes a lot of time to prepare the patterns. So, in spite of this fact all people who can’t pay for PDF patterns can view them on the website and make wonderful toys. Hope for your understanding 🙂
Absolutely loved the pattern!! It turned out SO cute!
Made the little bunny for my 6 month old granddaughter. Embroidered the eyes and add a little pink bow to the head (I made the sweater pink also). Charlotte loved it! Thank you
Great! Thank you!
Since the head is continuous with the body, where should I place the eyes relative to the stitch markers so that it’s facing forward?
You can choose any place between the specified rounds.
This page says “Free Tiny Crochet Animal Patterns,” but when I go to download the pattern, there is a charge. How do I go about getting them for free. Is there a promotion code somewhere that I’m missing?
Online version of the pattern is free, but if you want to download the pattern, you have to buy it.
Agradezco el compartir y enseñar esta tecnica que tanto me apasiona, las instrucciones son tan detalladas que ahora mismo busco mis hilos y empiezo la labor….. espero me salga bien Gracias nuevamente.
Very well explained and easy to follow. Came for the tiny cowl, ended up making a whole bunch of tiny animals for my loved ones! Great post
Thank you! 🌷💕
Really cute and nice pattern. Easy to follow and work up relatively fast. Lovely😊
I love these awesome animals, they are so cute and very easy to make!
When I made the tiny dragon, I put spikes all the way down it’s back and tail, it looks extra cute now!
Big love and Thank u soo much, becoz this made me like a pro ♥♥♥♥
Oh my word…thank you so much for sharing this pattern! I love these little cuties. I love, love, love how the head, body and legs are all one piece. I’m not very good at sewing lots of individual crocheted pieces together on a stuffed animal…I can never get them even close to being symmetrical! 🙂 I’m spending some of my “stay-home” time during the pandemic making stuffed animals for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes, and this is a perfect pattern. It’s easy to follow, they don’t take that long to make, and they turn out soooo cute! So, thank you so much….I really, really appreciate you sharing this pattern!
que lindos patrones gracias
As a relativitely newbie crochet enthusiast thank you so much for sharing your patterns and the great photos helping me to gain more skills. I am hoping to adapt your pattern into a finger puppet – time will tell but my daughter works with children with learning difficulties and we are trying to come up with an idea whereby the children can use the bears/bunnies in epressing their feelings ie. angry, happy, sad etc. At 73 this is a new skill I am gaining and loving with help from peope like you. Thank you
Love the patterns
Hola soy principiante desde sero espero poder realizar uno de estos hermosos animalitos gracias la ayuda muy amable cuidesen bendiones
Really cute pattern, well worth making. The stitch count on the head is incorrect starting at row four but does not take away from the over all instructions.
thank u show much ,I followed ur pattern ,result is so satisfying. I wish u could review my work
Hello, the pattern is quite easy to follow other than I don’t understand how to do the legs.
I didn’t either. Just winged it. It doesn’t look the best but I’m going to finish it before judging myself too much. This is the first real pattern I’ve tried to make.
Hey not sure if this is what inspired you but I swear these two are Miś Uszatek & Króliczek (Floppy Bear and Little Hare) – the main characters of a very famous Polish cartoon from the 70s and 80s. I was looking for a project for myself and it made me so happy to see this idea – I will buy all the supplies today!
Love the patterns but I am unable to print them
I have tried for days to print some of the free tiny amigurumi
animals. The directions on site do not help.
Please tell me how to do this.
Marie Corvese
My best crochet pattern website. You’re done great amigurumi’s. I love this bunny pattern, I’ll made it for myself 🙂
Thank you!!!
I just made the little bear. The recipient loves it! Thank you for your pattern. The only thing I had trouble with was the ears, but I think I figured it out okay. Good job!
I like the patterns, however it won’t let me save the instructions and I’d like them for offline working. The pdf download does not work nor does copy and save to word or any other program or print pattern. So this makes it impossible to work on.
You can sign in to see a free online version of the pattern or buy a PDF version.
Muchas gracias está hermosos me encantan todos
