To crochet the amigurumi deer you need:

  • Fine yarn Yarnart Jeans (160 m / 50 g; 55% cotton, 45% acrylic)
  • 2.5 mm crochet hook by Tulip for deer
  • 3.0 mm crochet hook for scarf
  • 10 mm safety eyes
  • Polyester fiberfill
  • Scissors and sewing needle

The finished amigurumi deer is about 18 cm (7″) tall. The toy size can be different depending on yarn and hook you use.

Free Christmas Crochet Pattern

Abbreviations:
ch = chain
st = stitch
sc = single crochet
inc = increase (2 sc in one stitch)
dec = decrease (2 sc together)
sl st = slip stitch
dc = double crochet
hdc = half double crochet
(..) = repeat the instructions in brackets the given number of times
[..] = total number of stitches

Crochet in continuous rounds, unless otherwise specified. Mark the beginning of each round with stitch marker.

Legs (make 4):
Begin crocheting with dark brown yarn.
Stitch marker goes along the back of a leg.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Rnd 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
Rnd 3: (sc in next st, inc) repeat 6 times [18]
Rnd 4: (sc in next 2 st, inc) repeat 6 times [24]
Rnd 5: (sc in next 3 st, inc) repeat 6 times [30]
Rnd 6: sc in all 30 st in back loops only [30]
Rnd 7: sc in all 30 st [30]
Rnd 8: sc in next 5 st, (sc in next st, dec) repeat 6 times, sc in next 7 st [24]
Rnd 9: sc in next 7 st, (sc in next st, dec) repeat 3 times, sc in next 8 st [21]
Crochet sc in next st. Mark the following stitch as the beginning of next round.
Change to light brown yarn.
Rnd 10: sc in all 21 st in back loops only [21]
Rnd 11-16: sc in all 21 st [21]
Rnd 17: (sc in next 5 st, dec) repeat 3 times [18]
Crochet sc in next st. Mark the following stitch as the beginning of next round.
Rnd 18-22: sc in all 18 st [18]
Sl st in next st. Fasten off and cut off the yarn. Stuff firmly.

Shape the hoof with sewing needle and brown thread. Make several vertical stitches in the middle of the hoof from Rnd 6 to Rnd 9. Pull slightly and fasten off.

Crochet with light brown yarn.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Rnd 2: (sc in next st, inc) repeat 3 times [9]
Rnd 3: (sc in next 2 st, inc) repeat 3 times [12]
Rnd 4: sc in all 12 st [12]
Rnd 5: (sc in next 3 st, inc) repeat 3 times [15]
Rnd 6: sc in all 15 st [15]
Rnd 7: (sc in next 3 st, dec) repeat 3 times [12]
Rnd 8: (sc in next 2 st, dec) repeat 3 times [9]
Rnd 9: (sc in next st, dec) repeat 3 times [6]
Flatten the edges and crochet sc in next 3 st through both layers, closing the hole. Fasten off and cut off the yarn.

Belly:
Crochet 9 ch with beige yarn. Continue working around the foundation chain, beginning from 2nd ch from hook.
Rnd 1: sc in next 7 ch, 3 sc in last ch, turn, sc in next 6 st, inc [18]
Rnd 2: (sc in next 2 st, inc) repeat 6 times [24]
Rnd 3: (sc in next 3 st, inc) repeat 6 times [30]
Rnd 4: (sc in next 4 st, inc) repeat 6 times [36]
Rnd 5: sc in next 4 st, inc, sc in next 7 st, inc, (sc in next 4 st, inc) repeat 2 times, sc in next 7 st, inc, sc in next 4 st, inc [42]
Don’t cut off the yarn. Continue working with it.

Amigurumi Christmas Deer Crochet Pattern - Belly

Body:

Join legs to the belly while working on the next round. Make sure the hooves are facing forward when joining them. Begin with left hind leg, work with beige yarn.

    Tratare de hacerlo, se ve hermoso gracias por el tutorial. Me queda la duda de que significa en algunas partes sl st. ya que no esta en las abreviaturas, por ultimo en las abreviaturas aparece pb como abreviatura de 2 cosas diferentes.
