To crochet this monkey amigurumi you need:

  • Fine (4 ply) semi-cotton yarn Yarnart Jeans (55% cotton, 45% acrylic; 160 m / 50 g)
  • 2.0 mm crochet hook
  • 8 mm safety eyes or black beads
  • Some black embroidery floss
  • Fiberfill for stuffing
  • Sewing needle and scissors

The height of finished amigurumi monkey is about 10 cm (3.9″), if you use the same yarn and hook. The pattern can also work well with the yarn of other weight, but the size of finished crochet toy will be different.

ch = chain
st = stitch
sc = single crochet
inc = increase (2 sc in one st)
dec = decrease (2 sc together)
sl st = slip stitch
tr = treble crochet
(..) = repeat the instructions in brackets the given number of times
[..] = total number of stitches

The head, body and legs of this tiny amigurumi monkey are crocheted as one piece. They’re joined in the course of crocheting. Work in continuous rounds using a stitch marker.

      It’s big fun to make all these lovely tiny animals. The monkey is my number 4. I made the lion and the fox as well and also the tiny bunny. I love them all. Thank you for the patterns.

    I have just made my first Amigurumi monkey and I love her.I’m not that good with following the instructions especially the bow so I made it up but it still looks good, I’m going to try the lion next.Thank you for the free patterns

    I love your patterns. I just completed the adorable monkey and found it very easy and was able to complete it in one day. I also bought your bunny twins because i didn’t realize you had them for free.. I Really appreciate your giving the patterns on line for free..I will definitely will be making more for my grandchildren.
