Why does it say free pattern since this is not the case?
Online version of this pattern is free, but if you want to print or download it, you have to buy PDF version.
The email I received advised to click on the link for a “free” pattern. Did so, in (reader view) was able to copy and paste the pattern from the beginning to the arms, but was unable to copy and paste the rest of the pattern. Why? If the pattern is free, why do always end up at the page where payment is expected.
I’m a bit confused and frustrated.
Please tell me why I can’t get the whole “free pattern”.

You can use online versions of the patterns for free on our website and mobile app. PDF versions are not free, because it takes a lot of time to make the patterns. So, in spite of this fact all people who can’t pay for PDF patterns can view them on the website and make wonderful toys. Hope for your understanding 🙂

I only have DK yarn, is there a way to transfer the pattern to that size?
You can use DK yarn. Your doll will be bigger than specified in the pattern.
I enjoyed making this in DK yarn so it was slightly bigger! Adapted the neckline of the jacket a bit but everything else the same!!!! Thanks for very easy to follow instructions!!
