Easter is on its way and it’s a time to prepare special handmade gifts for your loved ones! How about these cute amigurumi Easter bunnies, the symbol of the holiday? They are insanely easy to crochet and they look beyond adorable.
The bunny amigurumi pattern has its charm: head, body and legs of the Easter bunnies are crocheted as one part. Follow the step-by-step instructions below and have fun!
To crochet Easter bunny amigurumi you’ll need:
- Fine (4 ply) semi-cotton yarn (160 m / 50 g) in desired colors
- 2.0 mm crochet hook
- Polyfill (fiberfill)
- 10 mm safety eyes
- Some thread for embroidering eyelashes and nose
- Sewing needle
- Scissors
Skill level: easy
This crochet Easter bunny is about 8.5 cm (3.3″) tall without ears and 13 cm (5.1″) including ears, if you use similar yarn and hook. The pattern can also work well with the yarn of other weight, but the size of finished crochet toy will be different.

Don’t fasten off and don’t cut off the yarn.
Insert safety eyes together with eye whites between Rnd 9 and Rnd 10 (5-6 stitches between the eyes).
Legs (make 2):
Flatten the body and mark the places for legs with stitch markers or yarn scraps (keep in mind the symmetry in relation to upper part of the head-body). Each leg consists of 12 stitches, and there are 8 stitches between the legs on each side. Crochet sc in next 12 st from the stitch marker and insert the hook into the first stitch (from the outside) – this is the first round of the leg. Continue working in continuous rounds.
Rnd 2-5: sc in all 12 st [12]
Rnd 6: (dec) repeat 6 times [6]
Fasten off the yarn, leaving a small tail. Pass the yarn end through the front loops of the rest 6 stitches with your hook or sewing needle and pull to close the hole. Weave in the end.
Attach the yarn for the second leg, and crochet it in the same way as you made the first one.
Stuff the legs, then stuff the head and the body firmly. Sew up the hole between the legs. Hide the end of yarn inside.
Ears (make 2):
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Rnd 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]

Rnd 12-14: sc in all 14 st [14]
Rnd 15: (sc in next 5 st, dec) repeat 2 times [12]
Rnd 16: sc in all 12 st [12]
Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing. Don’t stuff.
Fold the ear edges together and fix them in such position with a couple of stitches.
Arms (make 2):
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Rnd 2: (sc in next 2 st, inc) repeat 2 times [8]
Rnd 3: (sc in next 3 st, inc) repeat 2 times [10]
Rnd 4: sc in all 10 st [10]
Rnd 5: dec, sc in next 8 st [9]
Stuff the bottom part of the arm slightly.
Rnd 6-7: sc in all 9 st [9]
Rnd 8: dec, sc in next 7 st [8]
Finish with sl st. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Rnd 1: 6 sc in a magic ring
Rnd 2: inc repeat 6 times [12]
Rnd 3: (sc in the next 2 st, dec) repeat 3 times [9]
