Hi Desa 🙂 You can view the patterns for free on our website and mobile app. PDF version itself is not free. Because it takes a lot of time to prepare the patterns. So, in spite of this fact all people who can’t pay for PDF patterns can view them on the website and make wonderful toys. We don’t hide the instructions. Hope for your understanding 🙂

Thank you for sharing your patterns! They are so cute and have made me ready to pick my crochet hook back up after several months of not crocheting. I love to crochet amigurumis to give as gifts.

At least allow copy and paste so I can increase the size of the print to make it easier to read while I crochet. Thanks

Hi Luisa, which round is difficult? The body is started after both legs are finished. You just need to join them together and crochet around both legs at the same time in accordance with the pattern.

Many thanks for this amazing pattern! I’m just finishing of the body and will attempt the skirt next. I’m an absolute beginner and unfortunately don’t understand how to start the skirt. How do I make 2dc in the same stitch? Is that in the second stich of the 2ch? For the 3 dc do I go all the way around again?

It is a foundation of 2 ch (not the next st). As for the second question – crochet 3 dc in every stitch till the end of the round and finish with sl st.

    Hi!
    Lovely pattern so far 🙂
I’m starting now the body. How are we supposed to add the skirt if in round 10 we work on both loops? Is it better to, when on that round, make the skirt and then continue with the body or should we first do the whole body and then do the skirt? If second choice, how are we going to know were to do it?
    Best regards,
    Mercè

Hi Mercè, after making Rnd 11 of the body you should get front loops of Rnd 10 unworked. Use them to crochet the skirt for your hippo 🙂

Thank you for your beautiful free patterns , I have just made the cuddly hippo . I found the muzzle a bit small the pattern says 3 rows but when I look at your sample I can see 4 rows . I am making a second one and will try 4 rows on the muzzle . I have enjoyed making the cuddly dancing hippo.

I am a beginner and i am trying to understand the muzzle part. Do you have images on how to go on the muzzle in spiral? I don’t quite understand how to make it the way it looks in your finished product. An image of the stitches after the chain and then a few rows later would help!

    Thank you!

He is only 4 years old but loves playing with stuffed toys and loves Strawberries, so I would really appreciate any feedback on this as I would like to make something like this for Him.
