Crochet bunny with snood and mittens - Free amigurumi pattern


Let’s crochet a honey bunny wearing a beautiful soft snood, mittens and winter boots. It’s about 21 cm tall including ears – nice size for endless cuddles!

The list of recommended materials:

  • 100% mercerized DK cotton yarn (105 m / 50 g) of desired colors
  • 3.0 mm crochet hook
  • Polyester filling
  • Safety nose (14/10 mm)
  • 5 mm black beads for eyes
  • 12 mm button
  • Black embroidery floss
  • Scissors and tapestry needle

Skill level: intermediate

Abbreviations:
ch = chain
st = stitch
sc = single crochet
inc = increase (2 sc in one st)
dec = decrease (2 sc together)
sl st = slip stitch
dc = double crochet
FPDC = front post double crochet
BPDC = back post double crochet
(..) = repeat the space in brackets the given number of times
[..] = total number of stitches

Legs (make 2):
Make 5 ch with yellow yarn.
Rnd 1: crochet around the foundation chain starting from the second ch from hook: sc in next 3 sc, 4 sc in next stitch, turn, sc in next 2 st, 3 sc in next st, join with sl st [12]
Rnd 2: (sc in next st, inc) repeat 6 times [18]
Rnd 3: (sc in next 2 st, inc) repeat 6 times [24]
Rnd 4-5: sc in all 24 st [24]
Rnd 6: sc in next 6 st, dec, sc in next 2 st, dec, sc in next 2 st, dec, sc in next 8 st [21]
Rnd 7: sc in next 4 st, (dec, sc in next st) repeat 3 times, dec, sc in next 6 st [17]
Rnd 8: sc in next 3 st, (dec) x 4 times, sc in next 6 st [13]
Rnd 9-13: sc in all 13 st [13]
Rnd 14: (sc in next 3 st, inc) repeat 2 times, sc in next 5 st [15]
Rnd 15: sc in all 15 st [15]
Fasten off and weave in the end. Stuff firmly.
Make the same steps for the second leg but don’t cut off the yarn, continue working on the body.

    Adorable! It’s called a Cowl. A Snood/Hairnet is worn on the head to hold hair in place.
