The Crochet Bird Amigurumi Pattern is designed to suit intermediate skill level. You can use different colors and their combinations to create a unique crochet bird amigurumi.

Recommended materials:

  • 5 ply acrylic yarn
  • 2.5 mm crochet hook
  • Fiberfill for stuffing
  • Black button eyes or beads
  • Some black thread
  • Scissors and sewing needle

Crochet bird amigurumi pattern:
crochet instructions

Abbreviations:
ch = chain
st = stitch
sc = single crochet
inc = increase
dec = decrease
sl st = slip stitch
(..) = repeat the space in brackets the given number of times
[..] = total number of stitches

HEAD:
Crochet with light purple yarn.
Round 1: 2 ch, 6 sc in second chain from hook [6]
Round 2: inc 6 times [12]
Round 3: (sc in next st, inc) repeat 6 times [18]
Round 4: (sc in next 2 st, inc) repeat 6 times [24]
Round 5: (sc in next 3 st, inc) repeat 6 times [30]
Round 6: (sc in next 4 st, inc) repeat 6 times [36]
Round 7: (sc in next 5 st, inc) repeat 6 times [42]
Round 8: (sc in next 6 st, inc) repeat 6 times [48]
Round 9-14: sc in all 48 st [48]
Round 15: (sc in next 6 st, dec) repeat 6 times [42]
Round 16: (sc in next 5 st, dec) repeat 6 times [36]
Round 17: (sc in next 4 st, dec) repeat 6 times [30]
Round 18: (sc in next 3 st, dec) repeat 6 times [24]
Round 19: (sc in next 2 st, dec) repeat 6 times [18]
Round 15: (sc in next st, dec) repeat 6 times [12]
Fasten off with sl st, cut the yarn. Stuff with fiberfill.

    I wish you would have explained the arrangement of the feet, on the bird pattern, so I didn’t have to spend time figuring it out. I do love your figures. Makes everyone smile.

    For the feet/’toes’, I did a modified version of the comb (the dark purple on the head) or tail /wings. I made the light purple bit, the bottom yellow bit, then chained the toes in the same manner as the comb.

    Instructions for the legs & feet would be awesome. I crocheted the parts and pieces months ago, but assembly of the feet is stopping me from completing this project.
