I am creating an amazing unicorn from this! Unfortunately i think some of the calculations of how many stitches are in the body are incorrect according to how many increases there are, therefore making it a bit difficult to follow. But i love this pattern!

I thought the same thing for example in the leg there’s a line that the count is 4 dec 8 dec and 4 and that’s supposed to be 18 stitches.

        4dc, dec=1dc. total 5.
        8dc, dec==1dc.total 9.
        4dc, total4.
        5+9+4 =18.

You can use whatever yarn you like, and use an appropriate size crochet hook. Personally, if I’m going to the trouble of making a stuffed animal, I want it bigger than 6 inches high, so I always make it bigger than the instructions say 🙂

Hi, I love this pattern, very easy to follow and understand. I just have a question about the ringlets, it says to crochet 4 ringlets in 3 colors for the mane, so I should have 4 ringlets, but it says in total we get 12 ringlets, and for the tail we get 6, would be happy for an explanation.
    Thanks in advance.

I’m a little bit confused about the mane and tail. Am I supposed to do each ringlet on its own or are they attached? (For example: ringlet one. Do the one ringlet and tie off or when finished the ringlet, continue on with the instructions for ringlet two?)

More pics for the placement of the appendages could be nice. The pattern has totally worked out for me. I use the beginning tail as a place marker on each piece. Just flip the tail up to the next round. I have actually sent your website to my customers to let them pick from your patterns. And as another I have had trouble buying the PDFs. Or i would have bought back bunch by now. I love your stuff!

Hi, I nearly finished this over the weekend and I have to agree with other commenters about how the pattern is well-written and easy to follow. 🙂 It incorporated a couple of techniques that were new to me and I appreciated the chance to learn different ways of constructing the Amigurumi. I’ll post a pic and link to you on Ravelry when I’m finally finished.

Just finished this adorable baby unicorn! I found the pattern to be very easy to follow and as with most amigurumi patterns I found that crocheting continuous rounds is much more simple than chaining up each round. I used stich markers to mark the beginning of each round and I often use a stitch marker to mark where I increased or decreased to make it easier in case I lost track.
    Love my baby unicorn! ❤️

I finished my second in unicorn in rainbows. I used four different “kinds/colors” of rainbows. I wish I could share it with you. They are adorable. Thanks for the pattern.

I didn’t have any problem with the pattern. I start my magic circle with a bit longer tail and use the longer tail as the marker for the beginning of the row. I pull it out of the last row and move it to the next row. I also have a pencil handy to tick off which row I have completed. When there is a clump of rows, I write out the numbers and tick off each number as I complete it. If I make it again, I can erase and re-tick.

    Thanks again.

I made 2 changes to add extra color. I started the head with the colored yarn and switched to white after the 13th row. I also made the horn in the same color. Made the unicorn look extra cute 🙂

I have just completed the assembly of the unicorn, but don’t quite understand the directions on how to put the ringlets together. I made 4 different ringlet sizes in 3 different colors for a total of 12 ringlets. I understand that I have to place 3 sc in each ringlet and attach it to the next ringlet. Then I turn and place 12 sc. But I have 12 ringlets. ??? That’s where I’m confused as to how to put them all together. Please help!

    Hi,
Am currently making this awesome Unicorn, I’m finding when I decrease the rounds to close up the head for example that my stitches “gape” a lot and therefore it doesn’t look as nice as the rest of the piece. Any advice/tips to stop this from happening.

try the Secret decrease stitch.. instead of grabbing the full stitch( Both loops) only grab the front loops of the stitches. This seems to work for mine. Also keep your tension really tight. 🙂

I am a bit confused with the mane – do I join each ringlet separately with a sc, or join all 3 ringlets at once, followed by 3 sc? (The photo looks like all 3 go on the hook together)

Do I do 1sc with 4 mane pieces, then 3sc before adding the next 4 mane pieces? (All 4 are on the hook in the photo).

Or is it 1sc for each mane piece?

    Thanks

Is there anyone who can help me with the mane? Am I supposed to fasten off the mane pieces with a slip stitch before joining? Am I supposed to knot the tails of the mane pieces after joining to keep secure? Or should I just weave in the tails without knotting or a slip stitch and hope it doesn’t unravel. This is my last bit and I have no clue how to keep the ma e from falling apart.

    Hello,

It is my first time with an amigurumi like this, and I don’t know how to croche the body in the head. Does anyone know how I can learn? Maybe a youtube video… I love this pattern, and I’d like very much to do it for my niece.

    Thank you in advance.
(my email is [email protected], if anyone would like to help me :))

      Solo debes unir despues

Did you figure out how to join together?
I’m wondering how as well, i have done everything just waiting to figure out how the mane goes together.
I have been waiting for an answer but haven’t recieved one. I sure wish after all the time it took to make this that i could finish it and give it to my grand daughter.

I have found a couple of tutorials on youtube which are both very different and I want mine too look exactly the same as the pattern 😁 any help would be appreciated (it doesn’t seem to be well explained in the pattern) as I am a novice crocheter.

I really love this Unicorn, its real cute, but not understanding how to attach the ringlets, or Mane. Is there a total of 18 ringlets? Where do the 12 stitches come in? Hope you can answer back. Thanks

Yes I just made this! There is a total of 18 ringlets, 12 for the mane and 6 for the tail. You connect the 12 ringlets and then sew them onto the back of the head and then you connect the ringlets for the tail and sew those onto the back. Hope this helps❤️

The 12 for the mane are attached together as one line and you can sew it just behind the horn along the head … for the tail, i attached the 6 as circle and sewed it on the back of the pony

    Hi
On the ringlets not understanding how many of each color are we making for the mane and tail? It says make 4 in 3 colors and the total is 12? So are we sewing them in 1/2’s?
    Sorry I don’t u understand.
    Thank you

Hi, I am making this pattern and understand it to mean there are 4 lengths (#1 45 ch etc) and you make each in 3 different colours; they are then joined with the white to make the mane.
      Hope that helps

I’m sure its 1 of each colour (3) for each step. Each ringlet (#1,#2,#3,#4) have different amounts of starting chains so longer to shorter, so you’ll end up with 4 of each colour, one 45 chains, one 40, one 35, and one 30 chains for each colour.

First of all, I wanted to thank Amigurumi Today for this amazing pattern. It is so adorable, and I’m making it for my sister’s birthday. But I am having trouble with the horn. I’m not quite understanding what you do after you chain 12. It says “sc in each stitch around”. Would you first crochet 12 INSIDE the loop and then carry on as normal, or would you go through the actual loops of the chain to crochet 12? Any help would be appreciated.

I’ve noticed lots of your patterns with spirals. I love making them with chain ___, then chain 3, make 5 dcs 3 chains from the end, and then 3dcs in all other stitches in the chain.
