Join the head to the body with a splint pin if you use them. Insert the splint pin between Round 23-24 (or choose any position that you like). Until the head is not finishes insert the eyes if you use safety ones.
Insert the eyes between Rounds 21 and 22 at 14 sc from each other (or choose your own place for them).

Rnd 39: sc in all 30 st
Rnd 40: (sc in the next 3 st, dec) repeat 6 times [24]
Rnd 41: (sc in the next 2 st, dec) repeat 6 times [18]
Rnd 42: (sc in the next 1 st, dec) repeat 6 times [12]
Rnd 43: (dec) repeat 6 times [6]

When the head is ready make contractions for the eyes. Begin making the contraction at the bottom of the head: Insert the needle diagonally to the eye place and take it out. Make a small stitch and return to the place where you inserted the needle first but skip 1 sc in any direction. Make a couple of such stitches through the head to fix the contraction. Make a contraction for the second eye in the same manner.

For eyelids make 4-5 ch (the size depends on the eyes) and sew above the eye.

Sew the ears as you like. Your baby elephant amigurumi is done ๐Ÿ™‚ Congrats!
