Hi. I am so THANKFUL for your patterns. As I looked through pictures (quick scan) – I cannot tell if I am able to make duck without scarf & hat. Being a bird lover, I am more inclined to make or even buy bird patterns that are realistic. Although I realize realistic patterns are more complicated, like “Meiks” (if my spelling is correct, I just wondered if you could ask those who advertise, (for free – thank you), to jumake animals wearing clothes optional. That is all. I didnt read pattern. I apologize if creator mentioned it. Thank you. The best resource ever.

Moderators: I am so sorry, I did review pattern. Ignore my comment and don’t post either this or former one. I realize hat, scarf & heart patch are not necessary. Wow. I have to learn to not say anything UNTIL I read through patterns. To the creator: I apologize. We live in a world where animals are being wiped out by global climate change due to humans, tree cutting etc. I create birds, squirrels, etc to to make a spot near my bed (as I am severely disabled w/heart, kidney, cancer and scoliosis which has led to massive back-leg/neck pain.) I used to buy 1 or two skeins of yarn per week on disability. I have totes upon totes of yarn now. My biggest issue is vacuuming & mopping. I mainly crochet for gifts and for charity, esp elderly & kids stuck in hospitals w/cancer. Sadly, it is become less and less. I used to quilt & tailor. I wish so much I could still work. But my heart is failing. Anyway. That is why I love realistic birds and animals. It is good to make realistic ones to remind us of what is happening to our earth & animals and ultimately…us-as humans. When we anthromorphize? (Sp) animals, by making them or seeing them as cute little ppl, (like we do our pets), we forget sometimes that they are wild. Yet I understand that this is type of things people want. So I understand why Amigurumi Today and creators need to create & make scarves, etc for animals. Gotta give the majority of ppl what they want. I am not complaining, I promise. Just stating a different prospective. As long as creators give options to not use scarves/hats. Thats perfect, and I am happy, perhaps include a pic of duck without scarf & hat & heart would help ppl like myself? There are some of us who would pass it by. Even calling an animal like a bear or dog when creating limbs…they say “arms” rather than forelegs and back legs. I wont buy any pattern of a dog or bear or deer, etc that is upright. Like bunny’s do not walk around like people and do not have arms. I know you have no control but as a suggestion, Im saying, these are reasons why I wouldn’t download to purchase an item…or even crochet it. Most ppl are taught these things in school so I can’t trust someone who writes “arms” for a bears forelegs or even front legs. And he can be standing or sitting or laying down but not permanently in a standing position unless rubbing back on tree or fighting another bear or reaching for 20 seconds to get a fruit. If only I could design.. I have extensive knowledge of wildlife. Ugh. However, if anything if said, in a loving way, I hope, helps anyone, that is good. Im grateful this channel represents and accepts all creators. I so wish I could create Amigurumi for you. I wish there were books or videos on this. But It must be like a “magician…who never gives out there secrets.” It’s not that I don’t appreciate your channel, etc…it is just the types of birds, etc I want to make…and they are not available. Like the Splendid Bird of Paradise, and many others birds & animals. I cannot just make whatever I desire as I just dont have knowledge of shapes, increase/decrease, etc. Very difficult to make, Im sure. Your four birds plus the purple bird are wonderful. And I love the crow, Flamingo & owls. I thought you had more actually. Yet the more exquisite the bird, the creators come from countries that use DK yarn. In USA, that is “baby yarn, size 3.” We do not have DK yarn in browns, blacks, etc. Because babies do not typically wear those colors. These dk yarns are it was not even made anymore. So I bought expensive patterns, tried to buy the yarn suggested at $10 for a small ball, and they did not even make it anymore. Ex two: Or, I dont even know what size 8 yarn is. So any help is appreciated. Sry again for hogging up your precious time. God bless you. Shelly.
