Cut off the yarn for the teddy rattle, leave a long tail for sewing, don’t tie, but hide the end, making an even edge. Tie the knot for the teddy bear and cut the yarn short.

Belly for the teddy bear with legs:
Rnd 1: 2 ch, 6 sc in the first ch [6]
Rnd 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
Rnd 3: sc in the next 2 st, (1 hdc, 1 dc) in the next st, (1 dc, 1 hdc) in the next st, sc in the next st, inc, sc in the next 2 st, inc, sc in the next 3 st, (sl st) repeat 2 times, cut a long tail for sewing and draw the yarn, don’t tie, hide it to get a smooth edge.

For the teddy rattle: Crochet chains to get the diameter of the ring – about 12 chains (it depends on the yarn weight). Crochet very tightly. Put the chain over the ring and crochet sc in the first chain. Continue crocheting with sc in a spiral, until the ring is covered. Leave a long tail for sewing and make an even edge as you’ve done before, sew both edges together, tie a double knot and hide the end.

Let’s crochet a semi-ring which cover the main ring. Make a new chain adding about 4 chains (16), put the chain over the ring, crochet sl st and a turning chain in the first chain, and then sc in the same chain. Crochet in ended rounds, but not in a spiral. Make sl st at the end of each round and a turning chain. Crochet 18 rounds. Before crocheting the last sl st (at the end of the Round 18) change colour to white (that is: crochet the second loop of the last sc with white yarn, and them crochet sl st). Weave in both ends into the white round. Then pull on the last stitch instead of sl st, don’t tie, cut and make an even edge as before.

Turn to the Round 1, join white yarn and crochet around the edge in the same way, hide the ends, join the edges, try on, cut and hide the ends. It’s better to hide two white ends in white single stitches from the wrong side. Turn the semi-ring in such a way that slip stitches are at the inner side and with the help of the hook move it so, that the seam on the fastening is under the semi-ring.

Let’s turn to the teddy with legs.

Legs: (Crochet in a spiral, stuff a little before the fastening):
Rnd 1: 2 ch, 6 sc in the first ch [6]
Rnd 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
Rnd 3: (sc in the next 3 st, inc) repeat 3 times [15]
Rnd 4-12: 9 rounds without changes. [15] Fasten off, cut the yarn.

Body: (Crochet in a spiral, stuff as you go)
Rnd 13: Join the legs in such a way that the ends are at the back and join the yarn, in adjuscent stitches on both legs and crochet one round of sc, making increases in joined stitches [32]

Explanation: You can see it in more detail in the photos. Insert the hook in two loops on different legs, yarn over and draw through the stitches, make 1 chain. Insert the hook in the same stitch, but on one leg from the outer side, crochet around the leg with sc. The last sc on this leg is the the same joined stitch. Turn to the other leg to the other joined stitch and repeat the same one more time. So, at first you join the yarn in these two stitches, join the legs and then crochet one more time on each side, so you get increases between the legs.

One more point: When you crochet around the legs, you should go around the stitch with a knot. It’s made in such a way – crochet the last but one stitch on the leg, and the next stitch is crocheted in the basement of the stitch, so that the stitch leans backward and the yarn goes in front of it. It’s very important to crochet tightly for the transition not to be visible.
You have a tail between the legs. To make the joint more firm insert the hook into the joined stitches from the side where the yarn comes out, yarn over, make a loop, crochet 1 ch and fasten off.

Hide the tail inside the stuffing.

Body (continue to crochet):
(Crochet in a spiral, stuff as you go)
Rnd 14-17: 4 rounds without changes. [32]
Rnd 18: sc in the next 8 st, dec, sc in the next 14 st, dec, sc in the last 6 st [30] – Decreases should be at the sides, so be free to make them in any place, if you’ve got something different.
Rnd 19-20: 2 rounds without changes. [30]
Rnd 21: sc in the next st, (dec, sc in the next 3 st) repeat 5 times, dec, sc in the next 2 st [24]
Rnd 22-23: 2 rounds without changes. [24]
Rnd 24: sc in the next st, (dec, sc in the next 2 st) repeat 5 times, dec, sc in the next st [18]

Rnd 25-26: 2 rounds without changes. [18] Joint arms in the second round. I crocheted the arms at the sides according to this pattern: sc in the next 4 st, sc in the next 4 st – the first arm, sc in the next 5 st, sc in the next 4 st – the second arm, sc in the next st [18] If the arms are not in place try to move joining stitches.
Rnd 27: (dec, sc in the next st) repeat 6 times [12], sl st, cut off leaving a not very long tail, pull the yarn, don’t tie, hide it, making an even edge. Don’t weave in in the outer side, leave it at the back. Don’t forget to stuff tightly.

All teddy parts are ready. Here are they:

Assembly:
Let’s start with the legged teddy. Align the head so that the eyes look straight and sew to the body in edge loops. Tie two-three knots at the end and hide the tail. Be sure that the knots are hidden. Add some stuffing into the neck.

Take the belly. Embroider a cross navel with the yarn you intend to use for the scarf. Embroider a nose. Tie a double knot at the wrong side and cut the yarn. Sew the bell flat, insert the needle under the edge stitches. Take the yarn out on the wrong side of the belly, tie two-three knots at the end and hide the end.
Sew the muzzle to the head in the same way. The upper edge of the muzzle should be three rounds higher than the eyes.

Now it’s high time to assembly the teddy rattle. Let’s start with arms. Sew them in the middle to the seventh round from the edge of the semi-ring. Tie two-three knots at the end and hide the end. Be sure that the knots are hidden as well.
Sew the head between the arms skipping 1 round. Add some stuffing into the neck. Do the same with the end.
Sew the muzzle in the same way as for amigurumi bear.

Sew the ears. Shape them as semi-circles. The bottom edge of the ears is sewn to the sixth stitch from the upper edge of the eye.

Let’s turn to decorating the muzzle. Cut a long yarn, tie a knot at one end and insert it in the head somewhere at the side between the stitches and take it out in the center of the muzzle, pull until the knot is hidden.
Embroider stitches, marking nose edges and then start to fill it in with stitches inserting the needle in the middle of the nose and taking it out at the upper edge of the muzzle.

It’s convenient to straighten the yarn by holding it with a finger and pulling it with the other hand. At the end of embroidering stitches will start to cross in the middle – to hide this return to the right part and make two-three additional stitches across these crosses. When the embroidering of the main part is finishes, take the yarn out at the side and make two-three stitches across the nose to hide the edges of stitches.

Take the yarn out in the middle of the muzzle and tie two knots at 1 cm from the base and insert 2 rounder down into the convenient place between the stitches, making a line. Pull to hide the knot and cut the yarn.

Scarf: 40 ch + 1 turning chain (leave 10 cm tail at the beginning) and crochet 40 sc backwards. Tie and weave in both ends. Cut unnecessary yarn.

Put on the scarves… Teddies are finished!
