First, please read the description of Round 12!
Rnd 12: sc in the next 13 st, make a decrease with the first wing part joining them together, sc in the next 10 st, dec, sc in the next 9 st, dec – joining with the second part, sc in the next 12 st. It’s necessary to leave 1 stitch of each part between them (one stitch should have the yarn end left from the first part) [49 + 2 stitches between the parts].
Rnd 13: Crochet this round with 2 decreases at the sides. The arrows on the photo below show the places of decreases [47]
Use the yarn left between the parts to sew the 2 skipped stitches.

Is the decreases of the wing supposed to move? Or are the decrease stitches have to stay on top of each other?
All Done and the result is beyond wonderful, thank you

Hi, in the fourth ball of the body, it says rounds 52-57 (=5 rounds). it is 6 rounds 🙂
Hi, thanks for pattern. I have done it and looks so cute but i cant do the wings 🙁 really confused…
Hi! I don’t understand the union of the two parts and where it’s say that it’s necessary to leave 1 st of each part between them.
At the end I should have 49 st + 2 st between parts but if I count the first 13 st + 1 dec + 10 st + 1 dec + 9 st + 1 dec + the last 12 st, I got 47 st total.
I tried to do it but at the end I have 4 st left. I’m a mess 🙁
Hi Tamara, 2 st between the parts are left when you joining them together. These two stitches are not included in the next round.
I did it, so in the bigger part of the wing, crochet 13 sts only in that part, then do a decrease in the smaller one, making it connect, then the stitch right after it, skip it and st in the one after the st you skipped, repeat for the other part of connecting the wing. I ended up with 47 sts after crocheting the last 12 sts I had remainder of 2 sts (I had a marker and the marker was on the 2nd st.) So I crocheted 2 more to fill the remainders and got 49 sts + 2. So note in the future, you might have to do 14 sts instead of 12.
I really don’t understand round 12 of the wings 🙁
Hi Tamara, which part of Rnd 12 is unclear?
Hi! I don’t understand the union of the two parts and where it’s says “it’s necessary to leave 1 stitch of each part between them”.
I tried to do it but at the end I have 4 stitches left 🙁
Awsome awsome awsome…..this help me alot and i make one butterfly( with some changes ) for my lil baby girl…thank u soooooooo much for sharing it …GOD bless you
Hello 😉
How do I get this ‘butterfly baby rattle’ pattern for free?
Hi Karin 🙂 You can view the patterns for free on our website and mobile app. PDF version itself is not free. Because it takes a lot of time to prepare the patterns. So, in spite of this fact all people who can’t pay for PDF patterns can view them on the website and make wonderful toys. We don’t hide the instructions. Hope for your understanding 🙂
Very lovely! Would want to do it.
Where do you get your plastic rattles?
You can use any small plastic container with beads or cherry stones 🙂
It looks so pretty! I love it.
