Amigurumi bunny with long ears
Free crochet pattern
This simple amigurumi pattern gives a wide field for your creativity and imagination. Use different colors and their combinations, create cute accessories for your little bunny!
To crochet this lovely amigurumi bunny you will need some semi-cotton yarn (60% cotton, 40% acrylic) or semi-woolen (20% wool, 80% acrylic) yarn of desired colors, suitable crochet hook (2.5-3.5 mm recommended), stuffing, a pair of safety eyes and embroidery floss for muzzle.
Skill level: intermediate
Head:
Rnd 1: 6 sc in a magic ring [6]
Rnd 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
Rnd 3: (sc in the next st, inc) repeat 6 times [18]
Rnd 4: (sc in the next 2 st, inc) repeat 6 times [24]
Rnd 5: (sc in the next 3 st, inc) repeat 6 times [30]
Rnd 6: (sc in the next 4 st, inc) repeat 6 times [36]
Rnd 7: (sc in the next 5 st, inc) repeat 6 times [42]
Rnd 8: (sc in the next 6 st, inc) repeat 6 times [48]
Rnd 9-17: sc in all 48 st [48]
Insert safety eyes between 11-13th rounds.
Rnd 18: (sc in the next 6 st, dec) repeat 6 times [42]
Rnd 19: (sc in the next 5 st, dec) repeat 6 times [36]
Rnd 20: (sc in the next 4 st, dec) repeat 6 times [30]
Rnd 21: (sc in the next 3 st, dec) repeat 6 times [24]
Rnd 22: (sc in the next 2 st, dec) repeat 6 times [18]
Rnd 23: (sc in the next st, dec) repeat 6 times [12]
Fasten off leaving a tail for sewing. Stuff the head.
Make tightening at the places where you attached the eyes. Insert the sewing needle under the first eye make several stitches, then draw the needle through the head and bring it out under the second eye. Make several stitches and go back to first eye. Pull slightly and fasten off. Don’t cut the thread. Draw the needle through the head again and bring it out at the place of mouth (5 rounds below from the eyes). Make a pair of stitches, then go to the second eye, pull slightly and fasten off.
Make some stitches with white embroidery floss near the safety eyes.
Legs (make 2):
Rnd 1: 6 sc in a magic ring [6]
Rnd 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
Rnd 3-7: sc in all 12 st [12]
Don’t cut the yarn when finishing the second leg, continue crocheting.
Body:
Rnd 8: Join the legs together: 12 sc in the first leg, 12 sc in the second leg [24]
Rnd 9: sc in the next 4 st, (sc in the next 3 st, inc) repeat 2 times, (inc, sc in the next 3 st) repeat 2 times, sc in the next 4 st [28]
Rnd 10: sc in the next 11 st, inc, sc in the next 4 st, inc, sc in the next 11 st [30]
Rnd 11: sc in the next 13 st, inc, sc in the next 2 st, inc, sc in the next 13 st [32]
Rnd 12: sc in all 32 st [32]
Rnd 13: sc in the next 13 st, inc, sc in the next 4 st, inc, sc in the next 13 st [34]
Rnd 14: sc in the next 16 st, (inc) repeat 2 times, sc in the next 16 st [36]
Rnd 15-18: sc in all 36 st [36]
Rnd 19: (sc in the next 4 st, dec) repeat 6 times [30]
Rnd 20-21: sc in all 30 st [30]
Rnd 22: (sc in the next 3 st, dec) repeat 6 times [24]
Rnd 23-24: sc in all 24 st [24]
Rnd 25: (sc in the next 2 st, dec) repeat 6 times [18]

There are no instructions for assembly with this pattern. Did you put wire in the ears?
Do you have a tutorial for this pattern? I’m not understanding how to “tighten” behind the eyes. Is there anything else you can add to help clarify this?

What size is the finished bunny?
It’s about 16 cm (6.3″), but please notice that the size depends on your yarn weight and hook size.
They’re all so adorable! If only I could crochet faster! I want to make them all right now.
